3RD PORT HARCOURT INTERNATIONAL TRADE FAIR

Theme: Private Sector Reforms: A Panacea for Accelerated Economic Development.

Since its inception in 2005, this mega-event has evolved into the Niger Delta’s largest economic exhibition. Today, the Port Harcourt International Trade Fair (PHITF) is rapidly establishing itself as the avenue for showcasing the development of the non oil and gas sector within the Niger Delta economy.

This year’s trade fair will hold from the 12th to 23rd of December at the famous Isaac Boro Park in Port Harcourt which is already taking on the look of a "tent city".

The fair will feature exhibitions from the various sectors of the economy - Processed Food and Agro Industries, Building and Construction Materials and System, Industrial & Production Machinery, Oil, Gas & Petro-Chemical Industry, Mining & Energy, Banking & Finance Sector etc.

PHCCIMA At 50th: Promoting Social Entrepreneurship in the Niger Delta

The four day event whose theme was "Promoting Social Entrepreneurship in the Niger Delta" featured paper presentations from nineteen renowned scholars and also brought together, in a collaborative deliberative fora; interest groups, individuals, corporate organisations and other stakeholders in the Niger Delta. The Seminar sessions were purposed towards proffering plausible solutions that would promote a better and conducive environment for businesses and peace in the region and its vicinity. Read more »

PHCCIMA ON TRADE MISSION TO FRANCE

A delegation of the Port Harcourt Chamber of Commerce, led by the President, Prince Billy Gillis-Harry, has just concluded a 3-day trade mission to France. The delegation held meetings with various leaders of the business community in France to explore avenues of strenthening business relations between France and the Niger Delta region.
