The Port Harcourt Chamber of Commerce offers the follwoign services for the benefit and business development of its members, the genral business community and the public.

  • Organising of an annual international trade fair and other specialised fairs.
  • Holding of quarterly business luncheons, dinner or breakfast meetings for its members for the purpose of networking and enlightenment on current business issues.
  • Publishing of a quarterly newsletter for circulation to members and the general public on latest activities at the Chamber and contemporary businesses.
  • Organising trade missions to overseas countries for members to network with foreign businesses and thus evolve partnerships and business relationships.
  • Receiving trade missions from foreign countries and providing a platform for foreign business interests to meet with business organisations in Nigeria.
  • Acting as referee to officials of member companies seeking visas from foreign embassies for business trips to foreign countries.
  • Curtailing the activities of touts and over-sealous government officials and agents from imposing excessive and obnoxious rates and levies on the business community for members only.
  • Bringing to the notice of the government the problems and needs of the business community.
  • Organising seminars, workshops, conferences and training sessions for the business community on issues and topics that will promote business growth and development.
  • Acting as a reference data bank for external business interests seeking for the patronage, partnerships and business contacts with businesses within the catchment area of the Chamber.
  • Partnering with a rating agency for the purpose of rating SMEs in Nigeria, thus enhancing their accessibility to credit facility.
  • Arranging mergers among SMEs in order to benefit from the economies of scale of production in the large-scale corporation so formed.
  • Maintain a website for the Chamber to contain a detailed directory of member companies.
  • Circulating to members via e-mail and post various correspondents on business opportunities and information received by the Chamber that may be of interest to members.
  • Maintaining a business library for the public containing information on business references and contacts on various spheres of businesses worldwide.
