aromatherapyIn the early ’20s a chemical called Maurice Gatefosse accidentally discovered the benefits of aromatherapy. While working on his perfume laboratory deep concentration, his arm caught fire. He quickly tried to find the closest substance to allow him to extinguish the fire. He saw a tank with lavender oil and dipped in the arm.

To his surprise, not only extinguished the fire but his arm healed without scarring or infections. In later used the word “aromatherapy” to describe the healing I had experienced.

Aromatherapy is the use of essential oils extracted from plants, herbs and other natural resources to produce products that enhance the welfare and improving health. Aromatherapy uses a few methods: inhalation or skin application.

Inhaled understand the direct inhalation of fumes or vapors through oil diffusers ionized in the environment. With regard to the application on the skin can be through baths, compresses, or massaging specific points on the body with oils that are absorbed and produce a general state of wellbeing and harmony.

Aromatherapy treatments have proven, over the years, be beneficial for therapeutic, emotional, physical or spiritual. Essential oils are also used in meditation, relieve sore muscles and help relieve stress.

Some of the problems that relieves aromatherapy are: eczema, anxiety, stress, insomnia, muscle aches and pains, headaches, asthma, digestive problems, menstrual and menopausal.

Aromatherapy is without doubt an extraordinary natural holistic treatment.
You can use an aromatherapy or a massage using essential oils or purchased from a pharmacy or health food oils business (knowing first want to get and oil profits best for this), and treat yourself at home.
Many spas offer aromatherapy treatments and complete or partial massage, detoxifying seaweed, treatments for back and to specific treatments for hands and nails.

So here’s a first general idea of what to expect of aromatherapy. If the ancient Egyptians, Chinese, Indians and even Rene Maurice Gatefosse benefited from aromatherapy treatments, perhaps you too can do it, just remember to keep restraint.
To end a stressful day, nothing better than a relaxing bath with lemon and lavender

Need

* 2 tablespoons sea salt
* 1 teaspoon baking soda
* 1 ½ teaspoon borax (optional)
* 5 drops of lavender essential oil and 4 lemon essential oil.

Mix well the baking soda, salt and borax. Add oil and mix well again. When you’re ready to take bath, you put the salts in the tub before opening the tap and more diluted. One last tip, do not use soap right away, because that salts do not act. Now if, dive, close your eyes and enjoy the aroma.
