Headaches, itchy eyes. Visual fatigue is the daily lot of many workers on screen. In response, an eye treatment and a few changes at work can keep good footing, good eye!
Item increasingly essential in the modern world, computers are part of everyday life for millions of employees. But the work on display is accused of causing visual disturbances, dry eyes, etc.. What is it really? Doctissimo an update under the watchful eye and expert Prof. Jean-Claude Hache, president of the company’s scientific eye correction.
There is fatigue and tiredness.
Fatigue-related work on screen is directly proportional to the time spent in front of his console but also the quality of the vision of the observer. This sensation may take three forms:
*Visual Fatigue: This is the phenomenon more common with the sensation of not being as effective in both vision and intellectually. There is rarely a decrease in acuity, but more often an imbalance binocular with printed images that are duplicated or become blurred. This type of fatigue is more frequently if the ametropia or presbyopia is not corrected;
* Eyestrain: The itchy eyes, irritation, sensation of dry eye. These characteristic features are related to insufficient lacrimation particularly poorly lived. Normally, the frequency of blinking is about 12 to 20 per minute, allowing the formation of a new tear film before breaking the previous. But the work on display is associated with a decrease in the frequency and hence a dry surface of the eye;
* General fatigue: This is manifested by headache, but also back pain (back pain) related to postural problems.
Fatigue can also have a direct influence on the quality of work performed. Thus, several studies show a deleterious impact on the efficiency defined by the pace of reading and the ability to integrate information. This parameter can be assessed through a photo-oculography (or follower of light), allowing measurement and analysis of gaze direction by recording the eye during the course of tracking a moving target or the ‘exploration of a text. Result: the efficiency decreases as the duration of work on screen increases. An argument for not too late to leave work.
More often an indicator of visual impairment.
If the working time on screen is too long, fatigue may occur because of the focus on the screen but also from immobility due to postural problems. But fatigue can also occur much earlier if the person has a visual impairment not corrected, mainly astigmatism or hyperopia.
In the case of latent hyperopia occurring between 30 and 40 years, fatigue occurs more frequently and more quickly. This type of work acts as an indicator of the disorder of sight associated with a blurred vision of close while the distance vision is correct. If the hyperopia is slight, it may pass unnoticed. More important, it can lead to convergent strabismus, significant visual fatigue and sore

I am surprised by the fact that in a world as bright and intellectual as ours, that so few individuals seem to pay attention to invaluable options which are readily accessible to them to raise their physical well being. It seems that a majority of people are more interested in a band aid in the form of a doctors visit and precriptions than in overseeing their own health process, and doing so in a way that is natural, predictable, and sustainable. That is what makes me value attempts like yours to prepare and prompt individuals to activeness. I hope that through these endeavors, and others, that awareness increases speedily and the population at large establishes to a mentality of personalized health that doesn’t depend upon specialists and pills.
